This week I was once again struck by the beauty of the Body of Christ. When I observe the many different families uniting together to prepare their children to serve the LORD with gladness, it is truly glorious. Though we know heaven will consist of a united bride for Christ we experience the challenges to that unity every day because of our battles with the flesh. I give thanks to God that He enables Christians from diverse backgrounds and perspectives to function so well together as a FCS family.
The apostle Paul speaks about the mystery of marriage picturing the marriage of Jesus and the Church. It is a true joy to be a part of bridal preparations at the grass roots level. Do you sense the wonder and anticipation of a bride being made ready for the consummation, for the wedding feast, for a whole new level of life? As we live in the “Already but not yet” preparation time, embrace the preparation while longing for the bridegroom’s return.
