This week the FCS community had the opportunity to enjoy our Visual Arts Fair held at the school. Students committed many hours to the process of making something beautiful. I for one was pleasantly surprised with the quality and range of exhibits.
Do you think as you look at a students painting that the reason you appreciate it is because Jesus is altogether beautiful? The beauty of the Lord and the radiance of His holiness is actually why our souls are attracted to all secondary beauty. Secondary beauty can only take us so far. This beauty doesnt save anyone from their sins, and it doesnt make you necessarily a better person. However, the Holy Spirit can use beauty to reveal the fountain head, who in essence, is the Lord Jesus Christ. Lets be about growing in our appreciation of secondary beauty primarily because our love of the ultimate source of beauty is growing day by day.
