In a new school brochure we are developing, it states that “FCS is uniquely situated as a minority in a sea of opposing values, beliefs and practices”. One such example is taking the creation account in Genesis as historical. The majority would disagree with this view, losing the moorings from which natural science originated and flourished. Scientism vs The Bible has been an effective lie of Satan’s right up there with “Ye shalt not surely die”. Many fields of contemporary science try to operate from the presupposition of materialism without the uniformity of nature, the scientist’s dominion calling or the inherent goodness of the material world. The majority has abandoned the bases and the rationale of scientific inquiry and in so doing lost the real categories of Truth, Goodness and Beauty. So who really have their heads in the sand?
