How aware of our own hypocrisy are we? Most of us can relate to saying one thing and doing another. “My body is the temple of the Holy Spirit.” Snickers Baryum “What just happened?”

We want our students to be lifelong learners. What did our children see us learn today, this week, this month? Did they see our delight in learning or are we hypocritically saying, “Love learning!” when we have stopped, or never begun? Right thinking must not be divorced from right acting, for that is the greatest hypocrisy. Are we acting opposite to our thinking or are we more truthful than we dare admit and we actually do act according to our thinking? Whoa, say it’s not so. If that is the case, we know where to begin. Like the beginning of most good things it is repentance. Start going in the right direction with renewed thinking, inseparable from new acting/new living, for we are new creatures in Christ. We are no longer in bondage to sin but bond servants of Jesus Christ.

Lord, help us not to be hypocrites. May we align our new hearts with the renewing of our minds with which to display itself in beautiful consistency with our love for the good, the true and the beautiful.
