The summer break from school is fast approaching, so how should we invest this time with our families? How do we make the most of the time we are given?

This week a friend of mine died unexpectedly from a brain tumor. I know that he is with his Lord and Saviour now, but his wife will miss him, his sons will miss him, his friends and family will miss him because of the kind of man he was and the way he invested in our lives. My friend’s passing, presses home the point that we need to make the most of the hours and days we are given. How much time do I squander with personal entertainment rather than interpersonal encouragement? What are we chasing after?

I encourage your families to talk about how you are going to make the most of your summer individually and together. This may lead you to do something you’ve never done before. Get out of your comfort zone and stretch yourselves for the sake of God’s Kingdom.
