At VCCA we desire to foster within students a biblical world and life view in large part because the Bible is God’s inspired Word. John Wesley declared that the four grand and powerful arguments for the divine inspiration of the Bible are (1) miracles, which flow from divine power; (2) prophecies which flow from divine understanding; (3) the goodness of doctrine which flows from divine goodness; (4) and the moral character of the penmen, which is due to divine holiness.

Christianity is therefore founded upon the four grand pillars of the power, understanding, goodness, and holiness of God. His conclusion is: The Bible must be the invention of good men or angels, bad men or devils, or of God.

“It could not be the invention of good men or angels; for they neither would or could
make a book and tell lies all the time they are writing it… It could not be the invention of bad men or devils;
for they would not make a book which commends all duty, forbids all sin, and condemns
their souls to hell…
Therefore… the Bible must be given by divine inspiration.”

The book we should all be most fluent in ought to be only one that’s God breathed.
