The word science comes from the Latin scietia, which means knowledge. It is through a biblical worldview lens that we can even have knowable knowledge and we know that in Christ are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. (Col. 2:3) Jesus has all knowledge and only in Him can we have an ultimate basis and ethic to have and use knowledge wisely. Thus Christians ought to be at the forefront of scientific inquiry and its application for the flourishing of mankind. That being said
This year VCCA students will delve into the scientific process by way of their Science Fair projects. This year Covid-19 has placed a spotlight on the significance of scientific modeling and the role of health sciences like never before. It will be interesting to observe the response of Canadian scientists to the (hypothesis/experiment/observation/conclusion) learning opportunity provided by our neighbours to the south in fully reopening thirteen states this week. Canadian heath scientists projections will either be demonstrably proven right or wrong in the next two to three weeks. Mass Covid-19 related deaths will confirm our scientists wisdom or confirm that their mass experiment had a faulty hypothesis. Scientist ought to be known for going where the evidence takes you, but I think we shall see very shortly scientists ignoring the experiment to the south given humility is becoming a rare commodity.
