During October our students listen to select readings from The Book of Virtues about the importance of compassion. The Kindergarten class heard The Lion and the Mouse an Aesop’s fable. Do you remember that story? Do you remember who showed compassion and why? How can showing compassion to the weak turn around and be a blessing to you? In our mixed up world, that lacks compassion but which at the same time, still wants compassion; Christ followers ought to be the most highly sought after people in society. How could each of us show more compassion to a fallen world where it won’t be reciprocated like in The Lion and the Mouse?
