Prayer
by Eliza M. Hickok
I know not by what methods rare;
But this I know, God answers prayer.
I know that He has given His Word,
Which tells me prayer is always heard
And will be answered, soon or late;
And so, I pray and calmly wait.
I know not if the blessing sought
Will come in just the way I thought;
But leave my prayers with Him alone
Whose will is wiser than my own,
Assured that He will grant my quest
Or send some answer far more best.
This grade one selected poem speaks about a good and wise God who hears and answers prayer. I pray that Verideia will always be a place full of prayer, prayer to an all wise and good Father who delights to give good gifts to His children. Consider joining the 9 AM Monday morning prayer time at Verideia and or the Zoom prayer time Wednesday 8:45 PM.
We have not because we ask not. God who is rich in mercy has chosen to work in and through clay vessels to bring Him glory, especially a people who humble themselves and pray. Be a praying home, attend a praying church, and pray that God would raise up a new generation of prayer warriors.
