Our Provincial government intends to reintroduce its’ sex education program for elementary schools September 2015. In 2010 there was such public outrage over the then proposed new sex education program that it was put on hold. Now that the Liberal Party has a majority government and parents maybe tired of fighting for the minds and hearts of their children, the new sex education program will likely be implemented this September.
This particular example of Government morals and values trumping parents’ is simply the trickle down indoctrination of the pagan values of our provinces’ political and educational leadership. No Christian should be shocked or surprised by this because they believe their Bible which says “that a student is not above his teacher, but everyone who is fully trained will be like his teacher” Luke 6:40. Fortunately, parents in Ontario still have the right to choose their children’s teachers and thus choose what values and morals will be taught and modeled to their children.
When talking with your friends who have children in government schools, ask them their thoughts about the new sex education program planned for next year. It may be a discussion starter to share about the benefits of Classical Christian education. It used to be that government schools taught that the Triune God of the Bible was irrelevant because He was never talked about, but now they instill in students that God is more than irrelevant He is evil. When will Christian fathers, the spiritual leaders of their homes wake up and start acting like Christian fathers the spiritual leaders of their homes?
